Description:
The starter kit contains everything you need to start growing microgreens: A porcelain bowl by Seltmann Weiden and a stainless steel insert. And so that you can start growing healthy microgreens right away, our organically certified seed pad mix is included with the starter kit.

With our seed pad mix you get to sample all of the different varieties of microgreens: rambo radish, garden cress, mustard, kohlrabi, rocket and radish microgreens. The taste of our microgreens ranges from mild broccoli to fiery hot mustard and is ideal for discovering your favourite one.

Once they have been watered, the seed pads start developing tiny leaves in just a few days. Either as an ingredient or as a decoration, the young seedlings provide variety, creativity and freshness on the plate. And with varieties like rocket, garden cress, broccoli, mustard, red cabbage and radish, there is guaranteed to be something for every taste.

This is how easy it is to grow the microgreens:
Fill the porcelain bowl with water up to the mark. Place two seed pads on the stainless steel insert and place it in the porcelain bowl. Now cover the seed pads with the two included cardboard cultivation covers. These protect the seeds from light and create an optimal microclimate ideal to support the seedlings’ growth. Now it is time to relax. Leave the microgreens covered at room temperature for at least 3 days and let them germinate in peace. As soon as the covers are pushed off by the microgreens, usually after 3 – 4 days, you can remove them completely, so that the plants get sunlight and start to turn green. After 5 – 7 days you can harvest and enjoy your microgreens.

The elegant and compact porcelain sprouting bowl is dishwasher-safe and an eye-catcher on any table or windowsill. This kitchen garden creates culinary delights with a minimum of effort.

All components of Heimgart – from the sprouting bowl to the seed pad – are produced and processed in Germany. The seeds are certified organic like the whole seed pad, which is made of natural fibre unwoven with a linen wick.

Whether used as an ingredient or as decoration, the young seedlings provide variety, creativity and freshness on the plate. Microgreens add a special note to salads, bread, cheese or smoothies, and as decoration, the Microgreens spice up every dish.

Since they are young seedlings and not sprouts, consume only above the root.
